Biography of Devon Plumley
Devon has been singing and playing piano for more than 20 years and studied musical theatre at Western Australian Academy of Permorming Arts in 2005. Since then, Devon has performed in a number of roles including Mimi in the WA premiere of RENT, as Marta in Sondheim's COMPANY, in yellow glass theatre inc's RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS-SONGS OF THE CARPENTERS and in 2003 as Rizzo in GREASE. Most recently, Devon has performed in the Tribal rock musical HAIR at the Regal theatre in 2007. 2007 also saw Devon performing in the premiere of BAD GIRLS at His Majesty’s Theatre, Perth and again in RENT as the understudy of Maureen. In 1998 Devon spent 6 months singing and dancing in VIVA BROADWAY in Atami, Japan. She also works as a freelance performer, singing and playing piano at weddings and corporate functions. When Devon is not performing, she works as a baby catcher (midwife), midwifery and nursing educator and academic as she works towards her Master of Public Health.
